(81,110 posts)Notice how often we see him with his face tilted down, so he kinda looks up at you with rather large open eyes? And you see a fair amount of whites at the bottom of each iris? One of those "aw shucks" or "who, innocent little MEEEEEE?" looks. Somebody. long ago, maybe his grandma or some auntie, must have made a comment along the lines of - "don't you look at me with those big blue eyes!" A comment which would have accompanied his having just been caught for doing something naughty.
I can't help but suspect that. He's flashed that look way too often as an adult. Seems to be instinctive.
The same way trump usually stands looking straight ahead with his head tilted up so his chin sticks out. That body language can tell you things that they don't want you to know about them. In trump's case, it's a bully posture.
I once worked with a younger colleague who was turning out to be a really ruthless schemer for such a newcomer. When I first met this person, I couldn't help notice that same stance. WAY confident and almost in-yer-face, with the head tilted so the chin stuck out. I felt like I was being challenged - it was quite tangible, aggressive. I couldn't help the feeling that this newbie had decided I was in the way and needing to be knocked off. There later came a situation in which I'd really scored big. Unavoidably so. Ran into same individual who, when I passed, struck a radically different pose: chin tilted down, looking up at me through the eyebrows. The stance was definitely NOT in-yer-face. Decidedly much more meek, even submissive.
Watch the body language. It can tell you a lot.

(5,106 posts)The bags under his eyes get worse all the time. He literally does look like "death warmed over." It's amazing that he manages to hang on, considering his lifestyle. Pence should be another involved with any Trump chicanery as well; but it only gets worse from there. If we can last another eight months or so, we should make some major changes, and get rid of the electoral college (doesn't deserve caps). Trump's actions are no surprise to anyone who's casually paid attention over the years. He didn't just spring up from The Apprentice, except maybe for his deplorables. He's EXACTLY the excuse for the electoral college existing, and it, ideally, wouldn't have even had to override the popular vote.

He poured the gasoline and gave Trump the strip to strike the match!

I mean, they get to destroy peons' lives AND watch some idiot make a fool of himself every day while telling Dems to suck it because they currently hold all the cards.
Not for long though. Not much longer.

(14,164 posts)Got his tax bill. But there is indications that their is another even more draconian tax bill in the works. Cuts to social services, judicial appointments, destroying net neutrality etc. And he can do a lot more damage if all the headlines are on the Orange Buffoon. He'll keep going until he literally cannot.
I predict the day after Trump is indicted....then again maybe not until he is actually found guilty.....Ryan will come before the cameras wide-eyed and blurb out something like "I had no idea! Who could have foreseen this? Of course if we had known the extent of this we would have impeached him by now!"
