A real mobster

We know, we read, I suppose, that often to join a gang one has to show one's loyalty by killing someone. Right of passage?

Thus, earlier today, on Nicole Wallace show, I think, it was suggested that Sessions will have to fire McCabe in order to keep his job.

How much lower can this administration go?

McCabe is planned for release this month or the next. (!)

The JD's Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, was asked by congress to expand his investigation to include Sessions and Flynn but said he's waiting for Mueller's report before deciding whether he will need to do that.

Office of the Inspector General, which recommended he be fired for cause. That wasn't done. Yet.

What Comey's #2 McCabe basically did was, right after Comey told the world that the FBI reopened the email investigation 11 days before election day, tell FBI agents they could talk with the WSJ about election-related issues, specifically the investigation into the Clinton Foundation, which of course was itself politically motivated.

This would be a highly improper breach of the JD's ethics and standards of practice at any time with any investigation, but this was furthered the right wing attempt to smear the Democratic candidate for president a WEEK before the election. Of course, no misdeeds were identified, but no need -- the FBI was blowing big smoke, so there must be fire.

McCabe also lied to the OIG about this, and when called on that claimed he misunderstood the question. He wasn't believed.

Imo, McCabe not only deserves firing, he should be in a federal penitentiary. During which, of course, loss of his pension would be somewhat made up for by being supported by the taxpayers.
