Was it not the Ancient Egyptains that,,,,,,,,

after they had a really bad Pharaoh, they would undo all that the bad Pharaoh had done and even have the removal and erasing all traces of their existence by name and deed.

Reckon we can do something like that when we get rid of this Shithole of a POTUS we have now????????

...the Romans too! Its one of the reasons why Nero's palace was essentially knocked down and new baths were built on top.

Erase his name, forbid any discussion of his tenure, make the next president #45.

The Chinese were about this, too.

What did they all have in common?

A dictator-ruler who had pretensions to godhood.

The prediction is that if you look at NKorea's past and tried to find important people who fell out of favor they'd have simply vanished from the pages of time. I'll leave that as an exercise.

Not my kind of role model. Even in Ukraine, while I was glad to see a lot of the statues to Lenin vanish (and similar things of notoriety in the Czech Republic when I was there) I was still happy to see that not all the Lenin statues or mementos of Soviet occupation were gone. One should not live in one's history because then one misses much of the present and it's hard to dig out of the past's gravity well; however, one should not forget history, because seldom is a period all light or all dark.

I don't think Trump should be erased. He should be held up as an object lesson for what can go horribly wrong in a country that glorifies celebrities.

And yes, when you have a royal dictator in charge of a country, whole chunks of the official history can be erased by the will of the ruling autocrat.

But just because we want the damage that Trump is doing to the country to be undone doesn't mean we should want to erase the record of History. That's kind of evil. We need to remember what he and the Republicans have done, so that we can guard against those same mistakes in the future

So we can stop believing we’re super special and better than all the other countries. So we can grow up and stop waging wars in other countries. So we can be mature enough to start waging some serious peace for a change. And so we can stop thinking we have the right to kick ass if someone dares to criticize is.

while taking credit and riding on coattails of the improved economy left by Obama.

Hope I live long enough to see a great Democratic administration successfully pick up the pieces and restore what Trump is tearing down.

by Thuthmose III. So it would appear that it was not only done to "bad" Pharaohs. It was also done to a pharaoh if the successor had an ax to grind.
