Could Mueller have a sealed obstruction of justice indictment on Trump already? (Original Post) CreekDog Mar 2018 OP
Maybe, but would he indict a POTUS? mchill Mar 2018 #1
I wouldn't want to even speculate. One thing that can be said about the Mueller investigation is Arkansas Granny Mar 2018 #2

I'm sure he's ready to drop a slew of indictments, if it looks like Trump is positioned to fire him. TheBlackAdder Mar 2018 #7

Like you say, obviously he wouldn't want to undercut other threads of investigation by letting something like that out of the bag too early.

From the evidence we have in the open press, it sure seems like he has a solid case.

Would love to see the look on Trump's face when he sits down at the table opposite Mueller, and Mueller lays down that big sealed envelope with "Official Department of Justice Business" on it, and says "Guess what this is, Mr Trump."

For instance, what if Trump fired Mueller, or delegated that duty to a subordinate. That is actually prima facie evidence of obstruction of justice. Perhaps Mueller couldn't file any further indictments after his firing, but he could order that indictments already filed but under seal be unsealed.

Maybe. Don't know. Not a criminal attorney.
