27. I learned this from a co-worker. A neighbor built an in-ground pool and the runoff went in his yard.

This guy kept asking his neighbor to remediate the water runoff, and the neighbor ignored.


He posted several berry bird feeders just inside his property line. (I was incorrect - he didn't use a berry & nut mix. He used a straight berry mix, mostly with cherries and blueberries.) The birds would immediately fly to the neighbor's pool. They wouldn't shit on his yard, it would take a few minutes. I guess when the birds drank afterwards, it got their bowels moving, so when they would launch from the pool, they would shit in it and on the concrete surrounding it. The neighbor begged him to take down the feeders, and he said he would if the runoff was remediated. The guy fixed it within weeks.


I asked him if the birds pooped on his property, and he said that there was infrequent pooping near the feeders, almost all went to the neighbor's property. I have three feeders up, two nut and berry ones (mostly nuts) and a thistle feeder. I have very little poopage, as these are near the front walk into the house and under the front door eve. I guess that the hot weather will drive the birds to see water even more, as my co-worker did this in the summer up in Long Island and he said that pool was a magnate for the birds.


I did a Google satellite map view of that place, and the neighbors to the north do not have any pools, just Mar-a-lago.

Claude Taylor has been busy funding billboards in lots of congressional districts where the incumbent is considered a target to pick off. Hope so! Some great stuff!
