Once, on TV, I watched a new Democratic Representative stumbling a little while addressing the House in support of a Democratic bill. Then Nancy Pelosi appeared behind her, sat down to write a short note, and had it delivered to her. Suddenly, the Representative smiled, straightened up, and delivered a convincing set of data in support of the bill. Nancy Pelosi moved on, in search of other problems to solve. She does this sort of thing constantly, doesn't she?

Just like the Clintons were. They are very good at vilification and hate mongering. Pelosi is great and dems should and must support her. The GOP uses hatred against people they fear.

Or attack in general. Whoever they go for we should feel proud of. Right now it is Pelosi. So she and women candidates in general are who we should lift up and look to.

Dem National Convention 1960 next to Kennedy (she was 20 and went with her father who was the Mayor of Baltimore and a Maryland Dem Congressman). She is the real deal!

Today I had to have "the talk" with a friend. They started repeating RW propaganda about Pelosi (it's time she step down and let the younger generation have their shot). They're a good Dem, but they're not one to spot sabotage or see propaganda for what it is.

I explained to her why the GOP is targeting Pelosi, how they're terrified of her wielding the gavel again and how the more likely that looks the more they'll try and poison her to other Dems. When I was done she was on fire over what's being done to Pelosi. She's a newly minted soldier against this smear campaign against Pelosi.
