When you are ill you need this crap like a hole in the head. I hope the Dems run on Affordable Healthcare as their main, national issue in the midterms. People in both parties want this and it will get us the House!

I still have mine.. I know my health agent from United would let me know if anything like this would happen.

He was just at my home last week over from Honolulu.

Yes, that's why Conor Lamb's main issue was health insurance.. I hope all the Dems running highlight this issue like Conor.

One is $700 a month (yes, that is for only one). It has happened with 2 others too but not as high a price.

is why we lost the House in 2010. Probably would have lost the Senate at the same time, but for the R's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by running idiots like Tod "Legitimate Rape" Akin, and someone who had to reassure voters she's "not a witch."

The ACA has never been particularly popular. Even now, it's favorability rating is only at 54%.

has numbers that high. The majority of both parties also know the tax cuts were a sham, favor some gun control and want DACA (Dreamers) to be resolved. Out of those issues, healthcare is the best one to get GOP voters to flip.

...Don'y understand why some folks don't understand that. I guess some people have to be put in a situation where they/family/friend has some critical condition and don't have healthcare benefits to treat it. That shouldn't happen in the richest country in the world.

Trump...fix the ACA...expand Medicaid and have a public Medicare Option for those like the person in the story. We won't get a big medicare for all stand alone bill. We don't have the time. A public option will lead to single payer of some sort...maybe medicare for all or maybe a plan like Germany or Switzerland. We just need to get something.

He receives a monthly maintenance shot once a month for his condition. This one shot costs over $4000. This is 5 times the amount of his disability check. He collects disability based on my late husband's contributions to social security. I am retired and he is on my insurance as well as having a medical card of his own. My insurance pays half and Medicaid pays the other half. My son just pays a nominal copay. I am 78 years old and I am worried about what will happen to him if I die or the government cuts social security or disability. I can't afford drug prices like that.

The ill and disabled, anyone too old to work, the otherwise unemployed or underemployed--do not carry their weight and are a drag on society and slow down the whole MAGA thing.

No medical care, no food, no housing... That'll teach 'em!

What we're seeing now is an attempt to thin the herd. If they can't make money off of you, or they can't use you as cannon fodder, you are not worth existing to them. This is nothing new. It's why they've been fighting tooth and nail for decades to roll back the various regulations that have tried to protect us.

In my state, I learned, they do this: They put you on medicaid, THEN they look at your income, and if you make too much, they cancel it. You can go to the marketplace, but you can have a gap month, since the marketplace coverage does not start for another month.

I'd look at the state and their procedures and given his damages, file a suit.
