All the Cambridge Analytica stuff is reminding me of Asimov and Psychohistory

The trends and understanding of humanity as a species with what we'll do begins with understanding individuals and how they move in groups. Interesting to see how some of those that grew up reading some of his stuff could interpret it in new ways.

I know, I know, Foundation's just a novel. But the idea of being able to map out trends for a lot of things and to try and avoid the big ones is what we should be doing as a species. Imagine if it was done a couple of decades ago with climate change.
