Most all are up to no good. There is something spiritual and human taken away from someone who serves in leadership of even relatively small corporations.

(54,770 posts)There are exceptions, and Im not talking about those who do the real work. Im talking about the planning, goal setting, budgets, hiring and firing decisions, lobbying decisions, finance, conspiring, pushing legalities, etc.
Its sad, and darn sure needs to change.

(31,013 posts)I worked for a small, privately owned company in the late 70s and it was the most ethical company I have ever worked for. It was a 3rd generation family business and the 2nd & 3rd generations learned well from the 1st generation. I was not family and was treated as well as family members...and there were a lot!!

(31,013 posts)with a major corporation I worked for in the 90s. The greed was amazing as all their bonuses counted on it. What shook me the most that they hired kids straight out of college and taught them how to circumvent the system to "get the sale". I butted with a lot of heads and finally left and moved on.

(1,294 posts)I saw the greed, lack of ethics, etc. that comes with a business once they surpass $10s of millions in n revenue.
I am currently trying to determine my next steps including starting my own small business again.
