Here's What an Innocent President Would Tweet:

"I welcome a complete and thorough investigation by Robert Mueller's team. My administration will cooperate fully in the quest for truth about these matters. I have nothing to hide and look forward to learning what is discovered."

That's what an innocent President would tweet.

Even though most Presidents today (Obama did also) use twitter, they would not be tweeting the way Trump does. We all know he's uhhh 'special.' Most Presidents would not be using twitter to get their main message across. Normal Presidents would not be tweeting about this investigation. If he were normal he would not be tweeting about this situation at all. However, he may have started something. President Obama did not use Twitter the way Trump uses it.

... I was walking out of the grocery store this morning after having bought some food via the self-checkout.

Ever since I was accused of shoplifting from a grocery store once when I was a kid (sadly, the accusation was correct; I was stupid at 12; what can I say) I've always been mindful of the possibility that someone might chase me out of the store yelling: "Sir! SIR! We need to check your purchases against your receipt to make sure you paid for everything!"

And I've always envisioned myself calmly handing over the receipt and the food items saying: "Please do, I'm sure you'll find everything is in order. I'm a loyal customer and an honest man and would never steal anything." Then when cleared and apologized to I would simply nod and say "No problem. Have a good day. See you next time."

Instead Trump is screaming he's going to sue the store, he'll never shop there again, they have no right to question what he's done - the very fact they're questioning him is unfair, he's being picked on, HELL NO he won't hand over that receipt; this is a big frameup by a bunch of meanies who are just jealous of him, and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah."

More than once, I've forgotten to put some item in my shopping cart on the checkout counter belt. When I discover that at my car, I take the item back into the store and go to the customer service counter to pay for it. I don't steal stuff. I can't.

I forget what I have swiped and haven't swiped. When I realize what I've done, I try to correct it but then the machine gets all confused and someone has to come over and correct the error. Which defeats the purpose of the self check out.

It's such a boring and thankless job (self checkout) that I stop paying attention and screw it up. They should just scan the whole cart and leave me out of it.

Somebody innocent would never behave in such an obviously guilty manner. Even if Trump genuinely believed himself to be innocent but unsure if others around him might be guilty of something, an honorable person interested in seeking the truth, wouldn't be acting like Trump is either. Trump is guilty AF in my opinion based on how he has acted since Day 0 of the Russia investigation.

Flynn, Gates, etc. also claimed innocence, until they didn't, so with respect, I think any such statement would be fake and worthless, especially given the mountain of evidence.

He's proud of his rapacious nature in all things. That is reflected in his tweets. Compare his public statements to, say, Barack Obama's tweets and other public comments.

A guilty person may attempt to appear innocent. Trump simply doesn't bother with any of that.

Instead, we've seen one indication of obstruction after another, mindless tweets, unsupportable attacks.

Trump's actions have yet to yield even ONE indication that he was unaware or uninvolved. Sometimes, it doesn't even really take a court of law to adjudicate one's guilt or innocence. This is one of those cases. A lot of his crimes have been committed in broad daylight, with the world as witnesses. However, DJT will be given much more legal latitude than he deserves. Meanwhile, he's running the clock, and our country suffers for it.

So, when he tweets something, then clarifies it in another tweet, what is the legal status? How long can he leave it "out there" before correcting or reversing course? Just wondering. I think that is my main concern about Tweets. Obama used the more judiciously. Trump is all over the spectrum.
