He enjoys inflicting pain and he clearly exhibits fear tendencies. He responds poorly to stress. He would flunk a lie detector test, probably even if he could somehow be convinced to not lie.

The pathological liars who pass them are able to control their emotional response. Trump throws temper tantrums.

polygraph machines only work properly (to the extent they work at all) on people who are physiologically affected by lie-telling.

anyone who can calmly or obliviously tell untruths can pass.

this can include a very accomplished liar as well as who simply think nothing of telling lies.

in donnie's case, he's redefined truth in his mind as whatever is convenient for him.

so if he said "yes" to a statement like "donald trump won the popular vote", the polygraph would have him pass because he'd say that calmly and happily.

perhaps ironically, if he said "no" to that same statement, the polygraph would blow a fuse because to donnie the notion that hillary got more votes would certainly cause a strong physiological response. to him, *that's* the lie, that's the "fake news".
