(268,854 posts)but when he conveniently forgets his own history or is hawking books, he's really annoying.
I don't dislike him as a person. His heart seems to be in the right place. But, he's rude to his guests and seems oh-so-quick to jump on the GOP talking point bandwagon at times.... I just can't. I CAINT DO IT! LOL! Ever since his "we're all neoconservatives now!" statement. I just can't.
And how are you doing this evening my dear malaise?

(73,527 posts)I frequently disagree with him. And that includes on television, and in the books he writes. But I like him, perhaps because he is one of the very few people in human history with less social graces than me.
I also respect him. VP Cheney attempted to silence his reports on the Plame scandal, and then tried to get him fired. Mr. Matthews responded by providing even better coverage of the Cheney-Libby illegal activities.

(268,854 posts)His role in exposing the Plame scandal must not be forgotten. And he sure makes me laugh when he pronounces Cheney's name.

(13,225 posts)but didn't Tweety go gaga over Bush in the flight suit on the deck of that aircraft carrier with the big "Mission Accomplished" sign?
Additionally, there was only ONE anti-Iraq war voice on MSNBC in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq, Phil Donahue, and he was canned because of his views.
Great interview of Phil at the link below discussing this topic.
