for the data leak? lol, i'm not a legal person, and never have been in trouble, and it does seem like every time i turn around, some R type person is limiting my right to sue, but anyway.....
Could a class action suit against Facebook for giving away our info to elect trump? I am not sure my trauma would exactly qualify for harm, but it certainly should.

(11,804 posts)Because those who participated in Facebook did so voluntarily and their terms of agreement probably protect them from claiming harm without there being direct financial harm? But I could be wrong.

(1,384 posts)Investors are suing Facebook in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, which sent the company's value plunging almost $50 billion this week.
Facebook shareholder Fan Yuan filed the lawsuit in federal court in San Francisco on Tuesday. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of an undisclosed number of investors who bought Facebook shares between February 3, 2017, and March 19, 2018.
The lawsuit said Facebook "made materially false and misleading statements" about the company's policies, and claims Facebook did not disclose that it allowed third parties to access data on millions of people without their knowledge.
