Trump doesn’t bother to hide his submissiveness to Putin anymore

The Post reports:

President Trump did not follow specific warnings from his national security advisers Tuesday when he congratulated Russian President Vladi­mir Putin on his reelection — including a section in his briefing materials in all-capital letters stating “DO NOT CONGRATULATE,” according to officials familiar with the call.

Trump also chose not to heed talking points from aides instructing him to condemn the recent poisoning of a former Russian spy in Britain with a powerful nerve agent, a case that both the British and U.S. governments have blamed on Moscow.

Even if Trump didn’t read the briefing (always a strong possibility), one is struck by Trump’s reflexive deference to the Russian autocrat. At a time he lashes out at everyone from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III to our trading partners to the FBI, he nevertheless bends over backward to avoid confronting the Russian tyrant.

Instead of standing up for the United States, Trump rolls over for Russia.

1. This is an important observation. There's a reason that Trump brazenly embraces the world's

dictators, why he opened praises Putin, why he ignores traditional advice, why Putin can openly murder someone in a foreign country without a WH response, why the gop won't be punished for tax cuts for the already wealthy at expense of the economy, why the WH can lie to our faces without consequence, why the GOP is mostly silent on Mueller and all WH transgressions, why the WH can ignore calls for defense and funding allocations against Russian interference, why McConnell knew he should stall a SCOTUS pick for a year, why the WH and GOP just gloss over tragically embarrassing behavior, etc etc

They all don't bother anymore to hide transgressions...because they know they can get away with it.

3. From this day till the midterm elections

the ONLY thing that can stop Trump is the republican party.

So IOW he has free rein to shit all over the Constitution and destroy every democratic institution we have because the republicans are a party of traitors.

4. I think the wh press should just start making all their questions about how Putin feels, what

Putin wants Trump to do, what Putin's policies for the US are.

They shouldn't use Trump or President Trump again in their line of questioning... Only President Putin.
