Mark Anthony Conditt was quiet and home-schooled & sold DeVos SCAMWAY!

.

Jesus F. Christ! How interconnected are these white supremacist, home-schooler types?

This guy sold DeVos Amyway products too!

The quiet, home-schooled son of a local couple that sold Amway products is suspected of staging a three-week deadly bombing campaign that gripped the Texas capital of Austin.

Local media, citing unnamed law enforcement officials, identified the maker of the homemade bombs as Mark Anthony Conditt, 23, who in 2017 moved out of the home owned by his parents, Danene and William Conditt, in the Austin suburb of Pflugerville, Texas, according to public records.

I did not click on the link. Not questioning the validity, I just know often rawstory rewrites info from other media sources.

Lived near another guy who went to one of these small Baptist church basement schools. He blew his arm off building a pipe bomb.

Others I have met, should have read for Deliverance.

their two bright daughters with home schooling. Both parents went to excellent colleges. They are both first-rate musicians as well. They run their own business which advises people on their finances. They do quite well.

I know the oldest girl best. She should be in medical school, she is that smart. Instead, she married at eighteen, because heaven forbid that anyone should have sex outside of marriage. She has two kids, and where does she work? A fast food burger place. She does not have a high school diploma. In a just world, she would get her GED and start doing something with her life. I am not saying that having babies is wrong. But this young woman needs more.

well, I don't know a guy who blew his own arm off. But I bet I know folks who came close.

I went to a fundamentalist baptist high school. And since it closed I know a lot of people who home school or support home schooling and nearly every one of them is a far-right, gubmint-hating, paranoid end-times preaching fool. Hell, our curriculum was basically just the home school program monitored in class by relatives of the preacher who ran the church and school. Our principal carried a Walther PPK everywhere (which was three less guns on or about his person than my step-father usually carries).

I'm sure there are home-schoolers out there who are qualified to teach their kids and try to do a good job but I never met one.

I had to jump through hoops and take extra tests to get into college because my high school wasn't accredited. (And they bragged about that in their literature). Accreditation meant the government could tell them what to preach, errr, I mean teach. And they wouldn't stand for that.

Any homeschoolers that I know are right wingers and crazy Christians. The kids are socially inept.

16. Home schooling should not be the problem here(but clearly is)

The real issue is a government who is unable to standardize education to a bare minimum of facts. Most of the western world does this to some degree, I mean nobody else is teaching intelligent design or fundamentalist 6000 years old history. It would be considered criminal to do so, although Waldorf has slipped through the cracks somehow.

that Mom went to a Lutheran college, and that the kids were homeschooled, but nothing about exactly which church/sect the family belongs to. It would be interesting to know.

I worked in a bookstore for a couple of years after getting out of the Army. I know books like nobody else's business, and I knew the store front-to-back, since I did most of the product shelving. I was good at what I did, and pretty good at making recommendations.

I can't count how many people responded to my acumen by saying: "You really seem to know your stuff, and you're a good salesperson. Do you mind if we get together somewhere, and I can run some numbers by you? You can really write your own ticket if you want to; be your own boss. What do you say?"

It only took one time to realize that these were scammers in thrall to bigger scammers, and that for all their talk about earning a fortune in direct-sales, they were just barely hanging on themselves.

I eventually just dismissed all advances with: "Nope; not interested."
