The coming arms race??? THE COMING ARMS RACE.....??

what the heck does that even mean? the increase in military spending is going for an arms race? jeezus, the tax cut, the trade war, now an arms race?

Will this country even be here in 2022?

To me, this implied that he (and his minions) viewed war as the natural state of things; that being at peace was a temporary aberration.

Since the end of the Cold War, the conservatives have been looking for an excuse to spend big bucks on military equipment (not so much on the active duty personnel and definitely not on the veterans). The Iraq war was a temporary fix -- in Trump they're getting the whole enchilada, the Cold War on steroids.
