Parkland students featured on cover of Time: 'Enough'

BY REBECCA SAVRANSKY - 03/22/18 08:56 AM EDT

?

Students who survived last month's shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla. are featured on the cover of Time magazine's latest issue.

Students including Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg and Cameron Kasky — who have all become vocal advocates for gun control — are among those featured on the cover. The cover has the word "ENOUGH" in large white letters across the photo.

Students who survived the shooting last month at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have been leading the charge in recent weeks for new gun laws.

The students have been speaking out against gun violence and demanding that lawmakers take action to keep their schools safe.

Firing up young people to be politically engaged is even better. IMHO, our current situation is due to too many people deciding it wasn't cool to be political thereby giving the reins of government to a small minority.

Any connection with the way these students grabbed national media attention on day 1?

They're expecting perhaps half a million to show up THIS SATURDAY for the main March for Our Lives rally in DC, with hundreds of others scheduled around the nation.

What I love most about them is they way they operate as a team and credit one another. There is no power play at work here. They are teaching the adults a few things.

....is so yesterday. Our culture is hopefully taking the next step. The children lead - the adults will follow - the future will come. Let them... how could they possibly fuck things up worse than we have been doing ?
