Foreign Donations?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/12/mitt-romney-jerusalem-fundraiser_n_1668271.html

This story has been looked at as another Romney gaffe, (scheduling a fundraising dinner on a day of fast), but I want to know why we aren't asking the bigger question:

Romney will be visiting Israel as part of a week-long, multi-nation foreign policy tour that is expected to bring him to London on July 27 for the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics, then to Israel, Germany and Poland. He is expected to meet with world leaders and hold fundraisers along the way, especially in Israel, which is a bastion of GOP political support and money.

Excuse me, but isn't there a ban on foreign donations to Presidential Campaigns?

http://www.politico.com/blogs/joshgerstein/0811/Court_upholds_ban_on_foreign_donations_to_US_campaigns.html

Why the hell is Romney doing a multi-national heads of state fund raising tour? Did I miss the fucking memo on this?

It says nothing about citizens living abroad being the donators. In fact, the only people the article specifically lists as being on Romney's meet and greet list are heads of state.

Someone with a voice needs to ask the question.

after arriving in Israel, Shitwitt closed his fundraiser to the press - even though he had made a prior agreement to include them.

Most news stories I've seen mention the donors are US ex-pats living in whichever country Romney is visiting. I don't know. Did Obama mix fundraising in with his trip in 2008?
