with FB, I don't do it. If I can't sign in some other way, I don't bother about that site.

Oh, and I have FB, I like it well enough, and at present have no intention of leaving. But long before this latest came out, I couldn't understand why my FB account should be linked to everything else.

It's somewhat like my screen name here is not one I have ever used anywhere else. What I post on DU needs to stay on DU, or at least be unconnected to any other part of my on line life.

site but knew many who did, I just think it is funny they are dropping them. I cancelled my FB this past sunday I just cant use a site that cant be trusted, I admit I will miss the friends and family I had but this was my best way I knew of to protest to what they have done. I guess I will just have to do old fashion email.

Commerzbank and Mozilla have suspended ad campaigns on Facebook following the data scandal that has seen more than $45 billion wiped off the social network's market value this week.

"We are pausing our campaign on Facebook. Brand safety and data security are very important to us," Uwe Hellmann, Commerzbank's head of brand strategy, told Handelsblatt newspaper Thursday, according to Reuters.

A post on Mozilla's blog site stated that it will suspend its advertising until Facebook takes action to strengthen its default privacy settings. "Mozilla is pressing pause on our Facebook advertising," it said. "While we believe there is still more to learn, we found that its current default settings leave access open to a lot of data – particularly with respect to settings for third party apps."

British ad council ISBA, which is set to meet Facebook on Friday, issued a statement saying the alleged use of Facebook data for political targeting was "deeply concerning."

Some because they think it's a good move. Some because they won't or can't abide by expected new policies.
