Even though it makes no sense. Tillerson has decimated the State Department, on the way to rendering it useless. I’m not buying that he suddenly became patriotic and cares more about his country than he cares about oil.

No more cushy oil deal between the company Tillerson was CEO of and Russian oil interests. That's why he was there in the first place, that's why he became expendable, and that's why he felt suddenly free to bad mouth Russia.

Up until then, they all had $9 trillion reasons to be the best of buddies.
