"SNIP...........
"Not in my worst nightmares did I ever dream my FBI career would end this way," McCabe wrote.
In his column, McCabe described how he learned of his firing, late at night, through a friend who had heard about it on the news: "Despite all the preparation for the worst-case scenario, I still felt disoriented and sick to my stomach," he said.
"So, after two decades of public service, I found out that I had been fired in the most disembodied, impersonal way third-hand, based on a news account," McCabe wrote.
.....
"When asked about contacts with a reporter that were fully within my power to authorize as deputy director, and amid the chaos that surrounded me, I answered questions as completely and accurately as I could," McCabe said.
...........SNIP"

(38,420 posts)Comey heard about his firing from TV news.....I don't know how to put it..but maybe this description
describes it.
People work all their lives for an organization...and a new leader comes in....and demands
..................to be sucked up to. ... But you are a professional..and you wont do it. You will not give
..................in to the "suck up the new boss orders"............So you know he is going to fire you.....
................and you get ready for the inevitable. Instead of meeting you face to face and telling you,
..................the new boss...sets out a rumor....which is verified indirectly, and then as you are walking
..................out after 20 years of work, and you gave it everything you had ,then, the boss appears
....................., says nothing, and kicks you in the groin as you leave .......................
And............that is who Trump is. It is not a mistake. He does it on purpose. He wants to hurt people....
