Denver's March: Good turnout: about 40% younger generations/60% boomers

The younger marchers and speakers--especially those Columbine, Aurora theater shooting, Arapaho High School survivor (yup, I bet ya'll don't remember that one only because there was but one victim and only the big victim counts get the headlines) were excellent... The "old guard" Gun Control groups that have brought Colorado the successful changes to date with respect to gun regulation are actively working with the new energy brought by these younger activists. It really heartened me.

It may not have been the country's largest, but it was well attended, despite some pretty intense sun beating down on us (a couple youngsters experienced heat stress right in front of me from the sun and standing in place for so long).

It was also HIGHLY charged vis-a-vis getting the Corey Gardner's and other NRA-supporting REPUBS out of office, (though one organizing group had tried to make it "bipartisan" )... During the middle of the rally, a plane flew by dragging a banner that showed Corey Gardner's $$$ embrace of NRA. I couldn't get a photo to come through due to all the sun, but it was cool and the crowd LOVED it.

All in all a good day and Colorado will do its part, I do believe. Few states have experienced more dramatic gun-related massacres and the fact that so little has changed Nationally in the near 20 years since Columbine (good gawd) escaped no one.
