Yet another example, as if one were needed, of thre complete failure of trying to apply the round hole of Randian ideology/Friedmanomics to the square peg of governmental fiscal reality.

More than a quarter must still be undecided (or planning not to vote). So I would expect this race to tighten, after the wounds of the bitter primaries recede over the next seven months. Remember, we know that many Republicans will relent and vote for the Republican in the end, no matter how much they thought they hated him in the primary or how lousy a governor he's been. Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents tend to be less forgiving (as we saw in the last election, too).

So we musn't get complacent this early in the game. It's going to take a lot of support and work.
