Romney cancels meeting with party leaders in Israel

Jerusalem (CNN) – The leaders of the liberal Labor Party in Israel took issue with Mitt Romney's decision to cancel a meeting during the presumptive GOP nominee's trip in Israel on Sunday.

Romney made a "last-minute cancellation" with Labor Party Leader Shelly Yachimovich, according to Labor parliamentary member Isaac Herzog, who was also scheduled to take part in the session.

"It is a pity that Governor Romney did not have the opportunity to hear about the political and economical alternative that exists today to Netanyahu's Government and that alternative is the Labor Party," Herzog said in a statement.

The campaign, however, said in a statement Sunday that they originally agreed to set up the meeting with the opposition "in keeping with diplomatic protocol," but since the Labor Party no longer represents the opposition, the meeting was canceled.

So the opposition doesn't know it "no longer represents the opposition"? Even if the Romney camp believes this BS, are they suggesting that they had no idea until hours before the meeting?

9. If I Were Running For The Presidency And Wanting To Develop My Foreign Policy Skills I Would.....

schedule meetings with opposing parties in the country to listen to them and hear what they feel the issues are. I would use this as a basis for determining how I would approach working with the country going forward. It seems like the fair thing to do. Gather the facts. Gather the opinions. And then form my own opinion based on some information that was gotten in a fair manner.

It seems like Rmoney knows everything and has already formed his opinions.

Now that doesn't seem Presidential to me.

11. I think it's more likely that Romney got a call from Netanyahu who told him to cancel

that meeting. He did ask Netanyahu, probably the most unpopular leader in the world at this point, to just tell him what he could do for him. Looks like he's already begun taking orders.

He said the fundraising was after the fast. I found that very strange - indeed most of what he said suggested that he was an Rmoney hack.
