they will figure out a way to stop some of them somehow like ID's, which are unconstitutional in the first place.

These kids represent everything they will try and stop.

We need to take over states so we can let them vote, GOP will stop many of them. It is what they do. We can prevent this if we all work hard, if we all vote for ANY democrat on ANY ballot.

It is my prediction that you are seeing the "passing of the torch" politically speaking. "Passing" is probably the wrong word. More like, "ripping the torch out of their hands". There is a generation "coming of age" right now and they have their own political concerns. This is not an uncommon occurrence. You see it every few generations. The political conflicts of the past, give way to the political concerns of the future.

This is more than about guns, that was just the "organizing event". Think of Rosa Parks and the bus. It became about much more than seating on a bus. I see similar strings running through this current set of events, as well as the "Me too/Times Up" phenomenon. I also see it in the Black Lives Matter political agenda. These are being driven by people who previously have not been at the front of politics. In many cases it is relatively "young" activists. We are seeing new arguments about "old" issues. It's really more about seeing these issues in new ways. And I don't think they are anyway close to "done".

I can think of other issues that may soon push their way to the front of political agendas. We've already seen hints of new pushes on minimum wages. I would expect wage "equity" to push their way forward, especially with the large numbers of women becoming politically active. I'd also expect there to be an increased push on education debt. I'd expect more movement on health care, and things like maternity leave. And yes, I suspect that a generation raised on "active shooter" drills will stand up and expect that their children will not have to be raised this way.

The children of Sandy Hook are now in high school. The kids of Columbine are already adults. These MSD kids will be starting to vote this fall. They are mad as hell and they aren't going to take it anymore. And they won't be "asking for permission", they'll be "taking over".

Well said. This is just one point, perhaps a tipping point, but really more of a sign of things to come. I like your Rosa Parks analogy.

Voting rights act is like '65. So the change takes time, but it ultimately is huge.
