I had to finally put someone fairly prominent here at DU on Ignore the other day because he was browbeating me relentlessly because I said -- well I said she wasn't Satan's spawn. Here was my actual comment (The thank you was to someone whose comment was similar to yours):

I never understood the hostility toward her. And still don't.

She deals in deep inside information, some of it may be or have been wrong, but much of it hasn't, tho the verification by "credible" sources may not have come immediately as most people here demanded.

It's basically gossip plus well-informed speculation. Take it for what it is, is my philosophy.

Oh, boy, did I catch it. Whew. Told the guy (fairly nicely) to back off and he doubled down!!

There is far too much authoritarian insistence on adhering to the accepted ideology going on here for my taste.

I've never understood the ire that Mensch has inspired. Some of the online spats were silly but it doesn't discount the woman being wa-a-ay in front of the curve on a lot of the Trump/Russia nitty-gritty. Plus she's on RT's Ten Most Hated Critics List, along with McCain, NATO, Hillary Clinton, Morgan Freeman, Rob Reiner, etc.

Not bad company! In my mind for all the brouhaha, she's been doing something right, as in making Putin and his kingpins very unhappy.

The sort of information that gave people hope that all was not lost. That's no small thing.

Much of her early work is now being validated by the MSM. A year later. She hasn't been 100% accurate but then I don't know anyone who has been with the deluge of connecting networks and confusing data we've seen. She's also admitted mistakes which her critics refuse to accept or admit.

For all that, she's done important work in sorting out the on-going mess in a clear, convincing manner. I give her kudos for that. I think in time she'll get her due despite all the cattiness and professional rivalries, the petty spats and call outs.

Comes with the unconventional territory, I guess.

He was condescending and obtuse, and doing a hatchet job, not a real interview. Funny how we can watch the same thing and see totally different things. She will be proven right on all her reporting in the end (see Patribotics), and her twittering of opinions is just that, as she says: opinions.

11. I don't care who she was...all I know she is steady raggin on RUMP...and that is

something I can believe in. To me it didn't make sense that she was trolling the left. Perhaps folks don't really know what troll means. If calling RUMP and the treason weasels every name in the book is trolling the left she needs some lessons.

Anyone taking any prediction from anyone as gospel is a fool. She is not the only one with assertions although she has had some wild ones. The jury is still out so to speak and final judgment shall be reserved until this whole mess is over.
