You know how current the episodes are at addressing so many political events, and social issues rarely discussed on TV
Also the discussions include many points of view This banned one Barris made too honest too insightful for comedy Tv I bet

I would only watch Roseanne if RoseNne herself wasn’t on it. Love Laurie Metcalf. She is hilarious on the occasional Big Band Theory episodes as Sheldon’s mom and totally unexpected to see her excell in her dramatic role in Lady Bird.

Aside from her nasty personal views and behavior, I just don't think she's funny or talented. Yes, in the late 80s, she broke ground as a comedian with her Domestic Goddess schtick and her show was funny and different but while the other actors on the show were gifted and good at their craft - as evidenced by their success in other areas outside of that one show - Roseanne has been a one note career, screeching her way through the years, trying to get attention by being more and more outrageous and obnoxious. She's failed at every other endeavor she tried because she's either she just doesn't have the chops or she hasn't bothered working on them.

The fact that the only way she could come back to television was to play the same character in the same show she did 30 years ago says a lot.

She wore out her welcome with me about 25 years ago - long before she turned into a hateful you-know-what.

John Goodman has done many movies, Sarah Gilbert has been successful on other comedies and now a talk show, I outlined Laurie Metcalf’s success....hmmmm who does that leave...yep, Roseanne. I didn’t see the forest for the trees, thanks!

Even if I didn't know who she was I'd be a big 'meh' on it. Which maybe because I never watched the old ones?

Black-ish I do watch and I love the writing and acting.

Oh, and saying the things Roseanne has (and will again) is somehow less controversial than taking a knee? smh

You know, the one that involved her screeching through the song, then grabbing her crotch and spitting - yet she is a right wing hero and back football players who kneel quietly on the sidelines are "sons of bitches.""

Racism is all up in our faces and people keep trying to tell us that's a bouquet of daffodils we're smelling.

Funny how that stuff works, isn't it? There were people on the right who lost their shit when she did that who now worship her.

I can't tell you how many times my wife and i have laughed so hard we cried. It is seriously the BEST written and FUNNIEST show currently on tv (i watch on Hulu). I have not and will not watch the Roseanne reboot. I haven't paid attention, but is John Goodman on the show? If so, that's disappointing. I have a feeling there aren't enough of the 30 percenters to keep that show going anyway. Maybe her next gig will be singing the anthem at the 2020 repig convention.
