This will be under the new slightly deGerrymandered map. This district is South of Pittsburgh, and went for Trump by 27 points. By comparison, the old 18th district, recently won by Connor Lamb, went for Trump by 20 I think so we are talking Lower Dumfukistan. I think that none of the Republican candidates and only two of the four Democrats actually live in the district. Apparently under Pa. law you dont have to!

(5,156 posts)Likely it helps the candidate in the election, if one does live in the congressional district.
Remember the recent Dem. candidate near Atlanta GA that didn't live in the district? He lost a very close one.
