I'm not going to engage

In an effort to divert from an honest discussion about why some of us who are inextricably joined reach different conclusions.

We can talk about differences right here.

Effie Black and others could not be more correct in making the point that the Sanders idea that economic equality will effectuate racial equality is naive at best and insulting and oblivious of the nature of socialist and Marxist black liberation at worst.

On the other hand, there is a huge percentage of our community which gets little or nothing from what what we as a party have accomplished because of what we have promoted to get there. If we can't have that discussion because we are so divided that we can't even see what unifies us, we have problems.

Your thoughts can stand on their own.

On the other hand, there is a huge percentage of our community which gets little or nothing from what what we as a party have accomplished because of what we have promoted to get there. If we can't have that discussion because we are so divided that we can't even see what unifies us, we have problems.

Words have meanings. Is it possible you are trying to discuss something righteous, which you are, and the delivery was poor and distracting?

Speak your peace without poorly writing a biography about another DU’er.

Edit to add: You have a voice in the conversation and I would like to hear it. From your writing I can tell you will understand what I mean about delivery.

It all seems to come back to the idea that all policy must have the glow of perfection about it, such a thing has never happened in the history of humankind. Maybe some want a benevolent dictator, if there ever can possibly be such a thing.

And I have to say I am starting to believe. I thought I had done a better job when I saw the early replies and, not that I am defensive at all, figured that the negative posts which appeared overnight were just attacking the messenger to silence the message. When I see posts like yours I have to consider whether the early responses were the aberrations and I really did totally fail.

Thank you for your observations.

Bob Reich? He has been pounding the economic equality, high wage, pro-Union, pro-manufacturing message for decades without EVER putting aside the fight for racial and sexual equality. As Democrats, we need to fight on all grounds for equality.

But we still need voices focused first on that majority of black Americans who are still unable to take advantage of the steps taken in the 60s.

But Reich is a good voice regarding the big picture. Thanks

reference to another poster? Why not just be direct about what you are trying to say? I suggest you simply speak for yourself, rather than spinning off from someone else's points.

I think your current approach fails to make its point.

....as though you're "praising" her but not really doing so.

If you have something to say about what another DUer has said elsewhere, why not do so in the threads to which you're vaguely referring?

You say you're "not going to engage" and then go on and do it.

And here we go.
