http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/382430-preet-bharara-to-trump-long-live-the-crime-fraud-exception"Long live the crime-fraud exception," Bharara whom President Trump fired last year after he refused to resign from his post tweeted Tuesday.
The crime-fraud exception means that a client's communications with an attorney isn't privileged if it "involves communications in furtherance of a contemplated or ongoing crime or fraud," according to the American Bar Association.
Trump tweeted earlier Tuesday morning that attorneyclient privilege is dead after it was reported Monday that the FBI raided the office and hotel room of Trumps personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

(22,025 posts)In all likelihood, Mr. Bharara has first-hand knowledge of Trump's malfeasance. He's too much of a professional, however, to speak of his knowledge.

(6,045 posts)If youre into listening to podcast one of my favorite, well, to be honest at this point in time MY FAVORITE PODCAST is Stay Tuned w/Preet. The format is Preet Baharara usually interviewing someone who is very well respected & indirectly or directly related to current events. Plus, Preet ALWAYS gives his honest opinion on where he sees the Mueller investigation going as updates come in.
His podcast are usually posted every Thursday so Im very interested in what he has to say about the lastest developments.
One thing I love about Preet Is he is able to see a topic or issue from many different angles & this enables him to ask his guest really good thought provoking questions & even play Devils advocate sometimes...The result is a wonderful conversation between Preet & guest that is not only entertaining but very informative for the audience!! IMHO.
Also...This May sound odd but Preets voice is unique & has a very soothing relaxing tone to it which just adds to the enjoyment.
Edit to say
Preet has obviously tweaked his abilities interviewing people as a US Attorney & created a really awesome podcast!!

Also, look up POD SAVE THE AMERICA
The podcast debuted in January 2017 and airs twice weekly, with the Monday edition hosted by former Barack Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Tommy Vietor and Jon Lovett, and the Thursday edition by Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer.
And also POD SAVE THE WORLD
hosted by former (President Obama) White House National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor.
I love both of these especially POD SAVE AMERICA...They are very entertaining & even funny! Most of all they cover everything that is going on, have good guest & IMHO provide a good service!

(2,312 posts)Sounds to me as if Trump might be ready to go to the mattresses, if needed. He needs to be stopped as soon as legally possible.

(6,178 posts)...... for any of his miss deeds. He has managed to buy, bribe, threaten and good old buddy his way out of trouble. He has convinced himself he is above the law (another one of his lies he believes). Now let's hope the time for reckoning has finally come.
I'm hoping they get him and Cohen for bank fraud, income tax fraud and money laundering. All which should fall under RICO. At least as a non-lawyer I'm hoping.

For my first post, may I offer this as a concise primer on the search of Cohen's properties. As a note, I'm employed on a military base, and as I often joke, I'm "one of the five liberals authorized to work there, we even have to wear a scarlet "L"! ". One of my Faux-news fanatic co-workers was apoplectic when the news broke, and screamed (literally!) out for the "investigation" of all the Democratic figures that these folks usually do in these moments, despite my efforts to explain the very solid legal basis that's needed to exist for something like this to move forward. Sad!....

(16,925 posts)You might want to point out how many Republicans were on the legal team that brought about this latest raid of Cohen's properties. THAT should shut them up (well, at least for a bit!).

(1,294 posts)Because there are so many targets on social media lobbing hand grenades and they are not in sensitive positions any longer, it is asymmetric warfare on the Orange con.
He either cant hit back twice as hard on every target this making him look weak and ineffectual to his cro-magnon crowd or he is tied up all day fighting people like this thus actually making him weak and ineffectual.

Even Jonathon Turley has quit defending Trump.
