I used to order once in while from "Catalog Favorites", which used to carry some fun gift items for my friends' kids and really different baby gift items.
Recently, they've become a lot coarser (lots of fart and toilet related "humor" stuff) and more like Spencer Gifts. I also noticed that ALL of their "message" products are now anti-Obama, anti-Democratic party, or pro-Tea-Party.
So I wrote them the following message: "Like 50% of the country, I do NOT vote Republican. I notice Catalog Favorites carries only merchandise with a Republican/Tea Party slant. Is it really a good idea to alienate HALF your potential customers?
I will not be ordering from this catalog in the future. Please remove me from your mailing list - catalog ID@XXXXXXXX"
Next time you receive a catalog from them, look and see for yourself. Then toss it and buy local.

(20,882 posts)My husband had the same clock but it was the bush countdown clock. But I wouldn't order from them either. I really detest tea baggers and recently gave up an extreme tea bag friend permanently. I just couldn't take her brainwashed attitude anymore. Funny she was a leftie who believed in woman's rights and now is against them because her tea bag bible Israel first thumper friends told her so.

(42,360 posts)I had a Bush countdown clock which I loved. I got it soon after his second term started and no matter who won the next election, Bush really was going to be out of office. These morons are jumping the gun with this--unless they have the option of resetting it in November.

(11,816 posts)But 100% of the stuff was anti Obama and anti-Democratic Party. Four years ago, I don't recall them selling anything political. Now, there's a ton of fart-related products, plus anti-Obama stuff

(5,756 posts)I bet the t-shirts are cheap quality sweat-shop crap. I clicked on one of the anti-Obama t-shirts. The description had in it "Made in USA/imported." As in "we'd like for you to think we had this made in the USA but it's really imported. Please don't read past those first three words."
