What if the Dems could make this deal with Trump and the GOP.

We will agree that Mueller and the DOJ will drop any pending or current investigations and charges relating to the 2016 election.
All involved will receive pardons for any crimes they might have committed.

In exchange, Trump and Pence both resign and Hillary and Kaine are installed as Pres/VP.

Of course, this can’t happen constitutionally. There is no mechanism for it.
But, if it could, I bet privately a lot of the few somewhat sane Repubs would take the deal.

Trump resigns, names Hillary VP, then Pence resigns. Kaine named VP.

Been asking for that option since the election. .

That is my ideal scenario. Or if Pence goes first, trump could install Hillary as VP and then immediately resign. It would be similar to when Agnew resigned.
Whatever..... but something's gotta give here.

a mechanism that could work for hillary would be for the house to make hillary speaker of the house. (don't have to be a member of congress). Then Trump and pence resign. Speaker becomes president.

Then Kaine could be selected speaker. I don't think he becomes VP, but in case of hillary's incapacity, Kaine would be next in line.

There is a perceptual problem with this scenario. It would make the deposing of Trump/Pence to be a political thing. In reality it is a criminal thing......The important thing is to send Trump to prison.

because this Russian thing might have so many tentacles 🦑 that it could possibly ensnare enough GOP officeholders and, more importantly, large donors like the Koch’s and Mercer’s.
They might have to start thinking about saving the GOP brand, if at all possible.

Of course, it won’t happen.
But, I like having the political fantasy in my progressive head....lol.

If the democrats take back the House, which is a real possibility, the hearings would be conducted by the democrats. Time to look into Niger!

But first we have to flip the House and hopefully the Senate in November.

I want him completely ruined. Like him and the GOP have tried to ruin the lives of millions of people with their assault on the ACA,Medicare and Medicaid.
