The Comey Syndrome

A dilemma is a situation where a difficult choice has to be made between two or more undesirable alternatives in the face of uncertainty about the outcome.

I propose "The Comey Syndrome" as a term for such situations where 20/20 hindsight is employed afterward to argue that the "wrong" choice was made.

A maniac was on the campaign trail convincing half the country that the upcoming election was being “rigged” for Hillary. This placed more than just President Obama and Comey in an awkward position.

Now that same maniac is convincing half the country that the Russia investigation is “rigged”. Those that choose to discredit Comey at this time are just unwittingly helping this evil maniac. Pretty clear cut. Not a dilemma at all imo.
