CEOs are dumber than Rednecks....

I was channel surfing and not much on this time of day, but I ran across the Bill Press show, since he got good reviews here I thought I would give it a whirl. He was talking to a union leader, forgive me I don't remember his name(lucky I remember Bill's) any who. They were talking and I am not really listening well because I am tired. But, they started talking about CEOs supporting Romney 4-1 over Obama. And you know how the myth goes that CEOs like Republicans because they are good for business. Well Bill, was saying a bit before this segment that Obama has given business a whole lot of tax breaks and has removed some regulations and that record profits are being made. I love how he shakes his head here, like he is thinking 4-1 are they f'n me, that is retarded. So, back to the convo with the union guy. He says he isn't surprised at all by this he sees it everyday. That take Caterpillar for example record profits and they want to eliminate pensions and have their employees take a pay cut. Sorry to take so long to get to the point. But, I was fascinated by this whole thing. So, corps are making money hand over fist Wall St is back up to the same level it was before the crash. But, these asshats are still voting for Romney. And this isn't even the shocker. Not only are they doing better under Obama. But, they always do better under Democratic Presidents. Always, somehow even though they have the love and adoration of Republicans they still do better with Democrats. Republicans court their votes and after they are elected do zip nada zilch for their corporate masters. Just like they do for Rednecks, they promise them the moon and starts, but do nothing.

I can understand the Redneck they are raised a certain way I am know exactly how, since this is the way I was raised. I know how they think, sort of understand why. If you are poor and barely making ends meet it is easy to get riled over people that look like they got it easier and don't work for it. So, they get whipped up into a frenzy over that. They got religion and little else so that also plays into it. But, you would think they would notice that life never gets better only worse with Republicans in charge. But, they don't rinse rather repeat. It's those welfare people's fault they are poor. Gay people are going to infiltrate their communities and make every one watch musicals or some nonsense. But, the CEO has had some education. They should understand the economy. They should know where their best interest lies. They should have the skills to research what works for their bottom line and what doesn't but, they don't do this. They are just in love with Republicans because Republicans speak the language of greed better than anyone else and this is what appeals to them. They can't claim it is anything else because history and facts will not back this claim up. There for I can only conclude CEOs are dumber than Rednecks.

Sorry for the ramble I am a bit groggy, But, I wanted to ramble while the shock was still fresh in my mind. I suspected this for a long time. It was just nice having my suspicions confirmed.

I, personally, don't care for the term "redneck." It's often used as a pejorative against people from the South. That may not be your original intention but I just find that one might look for other more accurate wording.

Just one person's humble opinion.

1. I am from Michigan.

2. Redneck is a state of mind, not geography, income level, or even education. My family just happened to be poor.

3. It isn't an insult. It is a reference to what happens when you work outside a lot.

4. Most the people I know personally aren't offended by the term. Some prefer to be called Hillbillies, however. But, we aren't from the Appalachians either.

5. If you can come up with a better term. Feel free.

After I'd lived there for a year I thought "Day-yum! There's WAY more rednecks per capita here than we ever THOUGHT about having in Alabama. They just talk different."

Things improve when Democrats are in power. A lot of that improvement, of course, is because they have to fix what the Republicans broke while they were in power. There's a definite pattern there, and too bad people can't see it.

Imagine what Obama could do if he didn't just have to fix everything. Imagine what he or Al Gore or John Kerry would have done if they had inherited Clinton's surplus.

Not that fixing our broken and gutted government isn't a vital thing to do.
