Why does this site accept dirty ad money 💰 from Repubs?

There are banner ads for Casey Cagle on my screen.
I live in Georgia and he is running for Gov of Ga.
Does his campaign manager really think that Georgians on DU would ever vote for that racist illiterate pig?

As for why the site accepts dirty ad money, it's because not all DU'ers donate to the site, and somehow the bills have to be paid to keep us all in touch with each other. As a big plus, if you donate even a small amount, the banner ads disappear.

Would we accept NRA money?
Casey is the NRA.
Same thing.
Find other advertisers that don’t soil this site and offend our eyes.

Media platforms contract with advertising firms that place banners based on user data. They generally do not have much control over what banners are placed.

When ads go against the DU mission, and are brought to the attention of the site owners, they are removed.

If you see an ad that you find offensive, report it here:

(can't believe this still needs explaining)
