Exactly the kind of behavior I'd expect from a guy who was out screwing porn stars and Playmates while his wives carried and cared for his children.Trump went golfing during Barbara Bushs funeral heres just how much golf hes played compared to Obama

(1,896 posts)First Ladies and former First Families have protection, but it's not the huge production the Secret Service puts on for an actual (or even nominal) POTUS. That kind of circus while you're trying to bury a family member isn't going to be welcome, and not going is actually probably kinder.
But golfing is just tacky.

(18,837 posts)Could have kept a low profile.
Staying away, for all of the reasons you've mentioned, makes perfect sense. He was not wanted there, period.
Playing golf is an "IDGAF" move to me. And he probably doesn't GAF, and that's his option. He just doesn't need to communicate it.

(56,353 posts)because As the New York Post explains: In recent decades, presidents have not attended the funerals of former first ladies.
We examined the last five funerals that were held for former first ladies. We found that while it is customary for first ladies to attend such services, a sitting president attended only one:
President Obama did not attend Betty Fords funeral services... But first lady Michelle Obama did attend, along with former first ladies Rosalynn Carter, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Reagan. ... President George W. Bush did not attend the funeral for Lady Bird Johnson, who passed away in 2007. First lady Laura Bush did attend, as did former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, and former first ladies Rosalynn Carter, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Reagan. ...President Bill Clinton attended the graveside services of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis at Arlington National Cemetery on May 23, 1994, and delivered an address. ... Clinton did not, however, attend the funeral of former first lady Pat Nixon... President Ronald Reagan did not attend former first lady Bess Trumans funeral in 1982, according to the Washington Post. First lady Nancy Reagan did attend, along with former first ladies Rosalynn Carter and Betty Ford.

(50,447 posts)No one who knows how to drive a fairway mower or a greens mower will work for him anymore, and the Secret Service says cutting golf course turf isn't their damn job.

(10,237 posts)...since Barbara Bush had the temerity (in Trump's view I'm sure) to say how she couldn't see why any woman would vote for Trump, and given that Trump is such a vindictive little "239" shit, I'm sure that golfing during the funeral was an act of deliberate and public disrespect. I never voted for either her husband or her son, but she deserved respect as a former FLOTUS.
The only difference between Donald Trump and a big sack of pig shit is the big sack.
PEACE!
