WATCH: Gun nuts are shooting their $300 Yeti coolers after the company cut ties with the NRA

Yeti manufactures rugged outdoor coolers that are normally quite pricey, as a single Yeti cooler costs between $250 and $350.

Although traditionally loved by hunters, Yeti this past weekend angered many of its own gun-toting customers when it cut ties with the National Rifle Association.

The howls of protests from NRA members included outraged gun owners filming themselves defacing and even shooting their Yeti coolers.

Considering there were people stupid enough to buy rifles advertised as protection from the zombie apocalypse, there are probably enough people the NRA could sucker into buying guns for their coolers

I completely agree with you. I’ve never had a $300.00 cooler and see no need in my life for one, but I certainly would not shoot it up of otherwise destroy it, if I did have one.

Some folks seem to have more money than good sense......

come up with that brilliant idea? The NRA went down in the 70s.....it'll go down again I hope. Daily ginning up of gun news where there is none. Must be tough for a gun channel to stay relevant and entertaining these days.

A boycott can hurt business because it will cause a decrease in sales. Conducting business with a competitor because of their stance on an issue can also cause a decrease in sales. However, destroying something you have already purchased has no impact on the company at all.

Most NRA gun lovers are wedded to the jacked-up pickup truck, camo wearing, pretend bad ass, self image that makes white people look foolish.

The NRA is manipulating their simple brain for purposes they can't even comprehend.

Their construction is very solid. Many fisher persons on small boats use them as you can stand on top of them without warping them.

It’s not necessarily that they are so expensive. It’s that most of their competition is running with the same old standards to bring down costs.

It's all good for them.
These yahoos have already shelled out the 300+ bucks, and, once this latest kerfuffle blows over, they will most likely buy a new cooler from them. WIN/WIN.

...Send your snowflake Yeti cooler to my YETI COOLER CONCENTRATION CAMP. Here at the YCCC we will force your Yeti to sit for hours in the sand under a blazing sun. We may fill it with smelly fish. We will force it to attend youth softball and baseball tournaments. We may even let our lab mix sit in it. That’s right. Dog ass on your Yeti Cooler. That’ll show it.

Shooting it puts it out of its liberal misery too quickly. May it PAY for its betrayal.

what will the gun owners (the rabid ones, most gun owners are resp. citizens) do when other products and / or persons cut their ties w/ the NRA? Are their members going to shoot up the place or product(s) too? Scary about how these guys react to such news.

another product recently that cut its ties to the NRA and they threw a hissy fit then too. It turned out that only under 10 products were sold under the NRA/product relationship. Only 10 or so. Not many. Kind of goes to show you that this of these gun guys do go overboard a little...scary.
