You can't make this shit up!![]() To be fair - only real Christians want to reminded of the least amongst us - not the pretend Christians who wear Jesus on their sleeve while Satan lives in their hearts.

7. Don't believe something just because you see a meme. Explanation Ryan gave is murky but good chance
There is a good chance that the real explanation is as the meme says. What happened is that after the chaplain gave a balanced prayer, praying that the legislation would help all Americans, a staffer came to tell him that some members were a bit upset or something. About a week later Ryan fires him. Not a 100% locked-in logical sequence, but enough of a probability to be the leading theory on it. Ryan's explanations have been unconvincing and they do not reference that incident. |

23. Ryan himself told him, "Padre, you just got to stay out of politics"
Ryan’s office complained to Conroy about a prayer he offered on the House floor during the tax overhaul debate that those who “continue to struggle” in American would not be made “losers under new tax laws.” Ryan admonished the priest after the Nov. 6 prayer, saying, “Padre, you just got to stay out of politics,” Conroy told the New York Times.
... Over the five months since Ryan’s warning, Conroy dared to continue to preach the teachings of Jesus on the House floor: ... He prayed for lawmakers to be “free of all prejudice” and, after the Parkland, Florida, school shooting, to “fulfill the hopes of those who long for peace and security for their children.” ... But such “political” sentiments are apparently no longer compatible with service as House chaplain. “As you have requested, I hereby offer my resignation,” Conroy, named chaplain seven years ago by John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, wrote to Ryan on April 16. The ouster became public Thursday. https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/commentary/2018/04/29/dana-milbank-if-you-preach-about-the-poor-you-dont-have-a-prayer-in-washington/ |

25. Conroy committed the unforgivable GOP offense of preaching about the poor like Jesus.
Republicans may call themselves Christians, but they want nothing to do with Christ's teachings.

2. Attacking a Chaplain ,
For political reasons, and firing him shows how much contempt for the institution of the House and Senate Ryan has. Also shows he's not qualified to hold that position acting this way. Just another daily reason for voting all republicans out of office, and its all because of their own doings. Trump, Ryan, and McConnell have proven to be the most corrupt politicians in our history of this country. Every day they prove it to us too.

I keep saying that Trump is draining at least part of the swamp because so many GOP reps have decided not to run again because they won’t win on their records. For every one of those, though, he has added two more corrupt swamp creatures in his administration.

22. I don't claim to be religious, but there is some good stuff in the Bible that all of these
so-called "Christians" don't want to believe in. For example, in Matthew 25:
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. |
