'I actually really like Sarah. I think shes very resourceful. She burns facts, and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Like maybe shes born with it, maybe its lies. Its probably lies.'
This was the disgraceful attack on Sarah Huckabee Sanders' looks that apparently went over the line, and violated the spirit, as well as the egalitarian, kumba-fucking-ya 'mission' of the White House Correspondents Dinner. A little digging and you begin to discover that some conservatives misheard her comment and thought she said 'burns fat.' Then the MAGA brigade who never even had the courage to watch the event on C-SPAN to begin with were so quick to pile on, that they practically knocked the outrage express off the rails. Meanwhile, Money Boo Boo, terrified that someone might laugh at him, took his reality TV show on the road to Michigan where he could once again retreat to the warm embrace of working class morons that take pride in being fucked by him.
But let's be honest America. The heart of the conservative outrage over Michelle Wolf's monologue had nothing to do with comedy or vulgarity. It was something much worse than that. It was the truth. Michelle held up a mirror that left no one untouched or unscathed. And the people who walked out should just go ahead and do what other conservatives are already doing in record numbers and just resign or abandon their campaigns for reelection. Whatever is required to shelter them from the progressive reckoning that is surely coming. And when history skewers them, what can we say? They knew what they signed up for.
'I know a lot of you are very anti-abortion, you know, unless its the one you got for your secret mistress. Its fun how values can waver.'
It's also fun when taxpayer's money is used to buy their silence and pay for the procedures, right Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) and Elliott Broidy (RNC Donor)?
'(Ivanka Trump) was supposed to be an advocate for women, but it turns out shes about as helpful to women as an empty box of tampons.'
To be fair, she knows her father won't listen to her unless she's dangling her tits in his face after he's had two martinis. And since her husband lost his security clearance after trying to install a secret phone line to the Kremlin, the only place you can see her or Jared now, is on a fucking milk carton.
But Michelle saved her sharpest bard for the media.
'You pretend like you hate him, but I think you love him. I think what no one in this room wants to admit is that Trump has helped all of you. He couldnt sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric. But he has helped you. You helped create this monster, and now youre profiting off of him.'
She also closed out by mentioning that Flint, Michigan still doesn't have clean drinking water. It's called speaking truth to power. And it's the highest calling of the free press our Founding Fathers envisioned, long before Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine and gave license to 24 hour propaganda profiteers to lay siege to our social contracts and the truths that sustained them.
At the end of the day, I don't accept lessons on civility from people wearing MAGA caps and 'fuck your feelings' T-shirts. And though they had no real reason to be offended, I'm kind of glad that they were. Because, in the words of Lakesha Ruise, 'If the truth offends you, you are probably on the wrong side of it.' Something they should remember when they celebrate Michael Cohen's promise to take a bullet for Trump. In the spirit of speaking the truth, no one is afraid of hypothetical bullets. Where the MAGA brigade is really going to be tested is when they start considering, as Bill Maher stated, whether or not Michael Cohen will take a dick for him.
