She Persisted

Victoria Brownworth @VABVOX 5h5 hours ago
#SCOTUS Justice #SonyaSotomayor is having surgery today to replace the shoulder she broke and separated weeks ago in a bad fall. She delayed the surgery at considerable pain to herself to finish hearing all the oral arguments for the term.

Women are amazing.

This is why we need more intelligent women in all branches of government.

I had not heard about her fall or broken shoulder, but it sounds very painful.
Hopefully the doctors will have her back soon, good as new.

However, I think it's safe to say that anyone willing and able to give birth has the wherewithal to cope with a shoulder injury...even one this bad.

All best wishes for a speedy recovery and a long life, Madam Justice.

she had cholangio carcenoma and underwent surgery, along with a liver embolization, gall bladder removal, and 18 months of chemo.

Once she could no longer qualify for FMLA, short term disability and long term disability, she went back to work. 8 hours a day 40 hours a week. I don't know how she did it.

Yeah, I'd say women are tougher than we give them credit for most days.
