TPM: Bornstein says that DT's thugs "robbed" him and "stole" his medical records.

That they "barged in" and "terrified" people there.

I think Josh Marshall is wrong on his last point, though (in the 2nd paragraph below). HIPAA laws ARE important -- at least to all the other patients whose records were rifled through.

A short video from CNN is at the link below.

Late Update: What’s been unclear to me as this story has unfolded is that I hadn’t seen any specific statement from Bornstein about whether he gave permission for Schiller et al. to remove the original records. It’s implied. But it wasn’t totally clear in the stories. Now there’s this report from CNN that leaves no doubt as to what he claims. He says he was robbed and actually that the group appeared to force their way into the office.

From more reporting, my sense is that the HIPAA issue is secondary. Presumably the group was acting on Trump’s behest, at least he would probably say they were after the fact. But the original medical records are clearly Bornstein’s. There doesn’t seem to be any question of that. They barged in and took them without permission. That is robbery.

Breaking and entering, theft, not proper procedure (HIPAA), etc.

Also, he said that the moron dictated his own letter of health that the doctor reported to the press.

There was no notification or request by the patient. Dr Jackson sent a letter saying he was taking over care of the patient. Some drunken pill popping fool ,as it turns out, sent these thugs over to steal the records.

Just standard operating procedure
