Stop threatening a subpoena, do it.

I believe its time for mueller to stop fucking around. Trump is playing games with the investigation. If Mueller subpoenas Trump that removes the threat of removal and once you get that lying piece of shit on the stand the game is over.

I believe Mueller has a ton of evidence against Trump and all the corrupt moronic fools that worked for him. I believe some of the evidence is going to shock the American people.

I think Manafort was a spy. I believe Trump and his people shared classified information with foreign adversaries. I believe they made secret deals, Quid pro Quo. Look how many people who worked for Trump met with Russians. Many of them did not have security clearances, had no idea what the fuck they were doing. Some of these people are real nitwits.

We all know Trump is guilty of obstruction of Justice. He proved it himself, what a dumb fuck.

Mueller needs to stop threatening and start doing, the evil piece of shit Trump needs to be removed as soon as possible. I cannot wait and America cannot wait for another year or two. He is guilty. Get him the fuck out of our Whitehouse.

But I doubt it.

From what I have read, Mueller doesn't believe that a sitting President can be indicted. He is having a very difficult time attempting to get an interview with Donald Trump. He has threatened a subpoena but he knows that Trump would probably ignore it and put it all into the Courts, which could take many months, or years, to get to a resolution.

Let’s not pretend Mueller is some kind of naive babe in the woods because the OP is impatient and may or may not understand how prosecutors prosecute their cases.

Sammy the Bull and John Gotti could not threaten to fire Mueller and end the investigation. Mueller and Rosenstein have been on the defensive since this investigation began.

But if he believes that a sitting President cannot be indicted, then his options have been greatly diminished. He does not want to subpoena Donald Trump but he may be forced to do it. If Trump ignores the subpoena, what then?

Robert Mueller cannot save us from ourselves, if we do not put in a check upon Donald Trump in November's election.

Trump continues to subvert our Constitution and continues to ignore the laws and rules of convention each and every day.

that Mueller will pursue legally with high confidence of convictions and I imagine there is lots -- TONS -- of information about compromised officials, unethical behavior, potential criminal activity for which the legal evidence is questionable. The latter would be of interest, along with the former, to congress and the public with respect to elections and impeachment.

So I'm wondering about the political angles and how much will be shared and when, if ever.

The point I am trying to make is Trump is playing games with the interview. Mueller should not threaten Trump with a subpoena, Trump already knew that was a possibility. He should subpoena Trump and force Trumps hand. Trump could then decide to have an interview with Mueller and Mueller could suspend the subpoena.

and put it into the Court system, where it could take months or years to get a decision.

Perhaps Mueller's best bet is to indict on criminal charges?

The only forcing of Trump's hand in the event of a subpoena would be a motion to quash the subpoena. There would be a months-long process where the question of whether the special prosecutor has the power to force compliance by the Executive. There are strong arguments to be made on both sides of the question, and any ruling would be appealed, and any appellate decision would be appealed to the Supreme Court. That process would take at least a year, probably more, and wind up in a Supreme Court dominated by justices of an authoritarian bias.

Issuing a subpoena would be a bad move.

He wants to control the interview and mueller won't allow that. If Trump refused a subpoena that would look really bad and it would go to court and he would lose.

Maybe Mueller will give me my wish very soon. Force Trumps hand.

...we cannot afford the waste of time that it would take to go thru the courts.

Still, I hope Mueller subpoenas him if he refuses to cooperate with the investigation.

Trump has no respect for the law. He would ignore the subpoena.
