Mustache guy out, impeachment lawyer in

...I've always said no decent lawyer would come aboard the runaway Trump train, unless it was to negotiate some kind of plea. No one with any salt is going to jump in at this point to just bat down loony tweets and impulsive tell-all call-ins to FOX news.

This may not be that golden nugget I'm looking for, but getting Clinton impeachment lawyer, Emmet T. Flood, to represent Trump is a good indication that something serious enough is coming from the Mueller probe which could lead to an indictment or impeachment.

Flood attended the Clinton deposition... is Trump close to cooperating?

The spin-doctors and thugs are receding in his legal team and the criminal defense team is forming.

Flood is smart, he's going to look at this mess and realize it's too late to get a result that would remotely please his client.Trump needed someone like Flood 18 months ago.

Here's the thing, Trump thinks he's smart, he's not. And he won't listen to his lawyers.

First, if one merely tried to get by being an "impeachment lawyer," one would starve to death. One case, 20 years ago.

This guy is way more than just an "impeachment lawyer." He has handled a wide range of complex legal cases and he has experience inrepresenting government officials outside the impeachment context. He was in the White House Counsel's office under Bush II and worked on executive privilege matters. He defended Dick Cheney when he was sued by Valerie Plame. He was a Scalia clerk. He's donated exclusively to repub candidates, including Trump, Pompeo, Bush II, Ed Gillespie etc etc. People are reading way too much into the "impeachment lawyer" part of his background, which is de minimis relative to his career. (If you go back and read articles about Clinton's impeachment team from the time of the impeachment proceeding you'll have a very hard time finding references to Flood -- he was small fry.
