the story donnie *wants* us to believe is that people can extort him with nothing but lies.

he's still denying anything inappropriate with stormy. maybe he spent his time with stormy playing chess or discussing bible passages.

that means she got $130,000 out of him simply by fabricating a lie about a little nookie. threatening to go public with that lie was all it took.

so, even aside from anything criminal wrongdoing here, we're left with someone who would be immediately disqualified from any security clearance at all.

and we're supposed to be comfortable giving this guy access to the nuclear football? access to the most classified information?
any foreign leader or terrorist could fabricate a lie and get him to do just about anything.

remember, this is donnie's *best case* story. even if you believe everything he wants you to believe, he's someone who should be forced out of office for the good of the nation.

...if I get 130K under the table. Wait. I don't need no steenkin greazey dirty republican coverup payola. I will tell the truth about republican Dirty Donny all the same. He's a freakin five-time draft-doding casino hustler who does not pay his bills and who does not speak the truth. He's the ultimate republican family-values role model. Deplorable.

That is what upset me the most about Clinton and Lewinski from a Presidential duty standpoint. The question of if it was consensual and who was in power was certainly extremely important, but determining the lengths Clinton would go to keep the affair hidden from public and political view were more concerning to me. Was there a potential for blackmail?

I did not post this to rehash the Clinton Presidency, but I remember the potential for blackmail being brought up during the impeachment talk. Now we actually have a sitting president admitting to payoffs to save his reputation and possibly win an election. What has he/will he be willing to give away to blackmailers now that he is president?
