'Were you lying?' Sanders faces new credibility questions

WASHINGTON — White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is facing a barrage of questions about whether she purposely misled the American people amid fallout over Rudy Giuliani's stunning revelation about hush money paid by President Donald Trump's lawyer to a porn star who alleges a tryst with Trump.

"Again, I gave you the best information that I had," Sanders said over and over again Thursday in response to questions about why the White House failed to disclose that Trump had reimbursed his longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, for the $130,000 payment to keep Stormy Daniels quiet.

"Were you lying to us at the time? Or were you in the dark?" one reporter asked.

It was an awkward position for Sanders, who is tasked with speaking on behalf of the American president. It also highlighted the difficulty the White House communications office has had in navigating an unpredictable and free-wheeling president.

1. Lying; lied to; or just talking out her posterior when she really didn't know

None of the choices are flattering.

3. Not defending her by any means

but, given the habits in the Oval Office, I wouldn't be surprised if she was in the dark. Of course, given her track record, she'd have one heck of a time getting people to believe that.

8. She specifically said she got her info from Trump

So while this may mean she was kept in the dark, the only reasonable explanation is Trump lied to her and she repeated it or she lied to the press.

4. I would say that I feel sorry for her, but

not any more than, as a Buddhist, I feel sorry for anyone, who puts herself into an untenable position. She did, afterall, accept a position with a man, who has a terrible reputation as a liar, a cheat, a racist, a misogynist, a con artist, etc etc. Plus she's been around him long enough, and left high and dry, where she has to come out and hem and haw over some inanity that he has uttered. For months now, his lies and prevarications have been pointed out , AND PLAYED BACK ON VIDEO, and disputed by talking heads, and reputable papers of record. So there is absolutely no excuse for her to continue the sham, of "Gee, I'm doing my best here."

No she is not. She has now allowed herself to be sullied with the dishonor of the Trump sewer of slime. I say, RUB HER NOSE IN IT! Rub all their noses in it. Because that it what it will take to wake them up. Give them all a big dose of crazy wisdom. Make them lose their fortunes, their houses, their families, their friends, their cats and dogs. Let their karma bear the awful fruit of their tragically stupid mistakes. Even then, I'm not completely sure that all of them will learn anything.

we can only imagine how much brain washing she got from her prosperity-preacher Dad. But even so, she is an adult now. I'm not a Christian, but I know what the Bible says about bearing false witness. At some point, there's a little bell that rings and says, hmmm what I'm doing and what Trump does sure isn't in harmony with what Jesus said we should do.

12. Better yet, why don't the journalists stop putting lipstick on a pig?

They should stand up, and say, "I don't appreciate being lied to!. Day after day, Trump has been caught in numerous outright lies, many recorded on tape. You claim to be a Christian, but everyday you come out here and bear false witness. You accuse journalists of printing false news, when it is you and your boss, and all his sycophantic yes-men who lie to us and to the American people on a daily basis. Have you no honor? Have you no personal integrity? Why don't you quit?"
