Trump said "Look at what I said" to deflect a question about his lying and reporters fell for it

Confronted by WH reporters in front of Marine 1 he told them to "look at what I said" (on Air Force One) and the reporters didn't follow up and confront him with his lies for a real answer.
Instead every network said "okay lets look at what he said."
then they ran the tape.

This is what he wanted!

This way he didn't have to answer the question.

Trump doesn't care if tape shows he lied.

That kind of tape runs every day on TV.

He just wanted to get away and not answer the question.

And he did, so he won and beat the WH Press pool, again.

Will they ask him again?
Maybe, maybe not.
The WH Press pool has the attention span of a may flu and Trump knows it.

They push stories they think will generate the most interest but it's sad to know someone as obvious as Trump can distract or redirect them with cheap tricks. I often wonder why when Sarah Huckleberry Sanders refuses to answer a good, legit, well-stated question the next reporter she calls on doesn't just ask the same question and the next until she is forced to.

She just keeps repeating "I haven't spoken to the President about that," or some other stock phrase.

What they should report that as, "The Press Secretary is in the dark."
