Dem: Giuliani leading the kind of people he used to prosecute
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) tore into Rudy Giuliani on Sunday for defending President Trump, saying the former New York mayor is now protecting the kind of people he used to prosecute.
Swalwell was responding to Giuliani's comment earlier Sunday that Trump wouldn’t have to comply with a possible subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller.
“You know who talks like this? You know who else thinks the law doesn’t apply to them? You know who else takes the 5th? The Mob,” Swalwell tweeted.
“Mr. Mayor, you used to prosecute people like this. Now you’re leading them.”
