The real question is what the voters in that state will do. That, I cannot predict.

Most recent example just a "holler away" in southwestern PA - Conor Lamb (Democrat) won in a special election. He won in a VERY red district that was well supported by IQ45 and the other Pugs.
He said that "he would not be Nancy Pelosi's boy" - and he won.
So, what do we do?
Shut him out?
Make him pay?
Find a way to make it work?

I hope we have a wise-enough group to figure it out!

if Democrats run the table and somehow get to that elusive 51-49 senate majority, i expect Sen. Manchin's opinions on all kinds of issues will suddenly become intensely interesting.

When in reality the D party is quite a good party

Think of the Special Council Protection bill that McTurtle will not bring up.

He will have a lot of sway on the must pass bills though.... Still the choice is easy to me, better him than the other realistic options.

Hopefully after the experiences of the past 2 years we've gained some experience, intelligence, and wisdom to allow us to make reasonable, intelligent decisions about governing.
We could use the wisdom of Lyndon Johnson and his "persuasive abilities" at this point in time!!!!

1. In a blue state or district: I want the most progressive option available.

2. Purple: The best balance of ideology and electability.

3. Red: Give me the (D) so we can get one step closer to choosing committee chairs.

likely to win, that is who I vote for.

Unless there is a progressive candidate with little to no experience who will have to create alliances from scratch, and a moderate Democrat and the WH is occupied by a NAzi, then I choose the moderate.
