In less than 6 hours a good democrat was accused, called on by multiple people to resign, resigned his office AND I have seen his resignation quoted as proof he was probably guilty. Can anybody else see a problem with this?

If the pursuit of justice which the rat-f*ckers wanted to derail can continue without the target of their rat-f*ckery, then to me the pursuit of justice takes precedence over the righteousness of the individual (which at this point, in this case, to me, is not at all clear).
It's a lot muddier when their hit-job (if it is indeed a hit-job) is able to derail justice in *that* case. It is not comfortable to have to choose between justice in *this* case and justice in *that* case.

(10,418 posts)...and the guy just had to get out of the way rather than stay and try to fight the allegations. If it weren't for the situation with Trump he might have been allowed to hang around and try to clear his name. I think some powerful people told him he had to go or he saw the writing on the wall.
