I don't know who, But I really believe Avenatti is in league with persons high on our side

Persons, or groups. Actually, in ways not dissimilar to the Swiftboaters. The DNC, maybe? Tom Stiers? Someone else?

Who pays his expenses? Sure, he could do it himself, but most people doing what he's doing don't.

While this is ostensibly still about Stormy Daniels, it is much, much, much bigger than that.

On the surface, the whole thing is fun to watch and seriously informative, but there really does have to be an even more serious back story.

Any ideas?

I don't remember everything he said (should catch the video when it is up), but I know he made the comment about not being paid by some liberal group.... (loosely paraphrased)

He had a big haul last year (one of the highest in California) for a fraud case and I think he said it was around $450million. So, I'm guessing that while this is not pro bono, that he can afford to limit fees.

Avenatti's firm set it up to pay for the case. Avenatti said on Rachel tonight that other than a "de minimus" amount from Stormy, all of the money for the litigation has come from their CrowdJustice.org funding page.

So far it has raised only $403,000. Their goal was to get to $850,000 by May 4, 2018. Obviously that didn't happen. I hope more people donate...

While in college and later in law school, Avenatti worked at a political opposition and media firm, The Research Group, run by Rahm Emanuel (later White House Chief of Staff for President Barack Obama, and mayor of Chicago).[21] Avenatti worked on over 150 campaigns in 42 states, including multiple gubernatorial and congressional campaigns and Joe Biden’s U.S. Senate campaign.

But he does not need anyone to fund him. He's won a lot of big cases with huge monetary payoffs:
$10 million from Paris Hilton
$40 million embezzlement lawsuit involving KPMG
an April 2017 $454 million verdict after a jury trial in Federal Court in Los Angeles in a fraud case against Kimberly-Clark and Halyard Health (later reduced to a $21.7 million dollar verdict upon appeal)
$80.5 million class-action settlement against Service Corporation International

He is her attorney, her advocate--whatever they discuss in private, in public he is charged with representing her the way she wishes to be represented.

I think his agenda is what she wants, and what she wants is to take down the mofo who threatened her. Money and a higher profile is the gravy.
